sohoartists is a boutique artist management company that focuses on developing new and often unsigned popular music talent, alongside a number of World Music artists whose talent we try to bring to a wide, cross-over audience.
We are a small and experienced team able to work closely with each of our artists. At the helm is Paul Burger. Before setting up sohoartists in late 2003, Paul spent 27 years working at Sony Music, overseeing the careers of artists as diverse as Leonard Cohen, Jamiroquai, Celine Dion, Kula Shaker, Charlotte Church and Leftfield. Beside him is Erin Dineen whose career has spanned 20 years in the UK music industry with artists such as Gipsy Kings, Oasis and Fatboy Slim.
Between them, sohoartists is able to provide a unique management relationship; one which is strategic and personal, and has the knowledge, expertise and professionalism to help emerging artists carve out a path for themselves.
sohoartists also includes a consultancy arm for artists and labels, new music and entertainment start-ups, and a live promotion company, TRP 2009, which is funded through the Edge Group.

Paul Burger, founder and partner of sohoartists, has over 30 years of experience working in the music industry. He has fostered the careers of a very diverse span of artists on a global scale. Before starting sohoartists in late 2003, Paul worked in various senior management positions throughout Sony Music. In his last three years there, Paul was President, Europe, Middle East, Africa, during which time the company enjoyed its best ever chart shares, and, some of its best years in terms of profit, in spite of the very significant challenges facing the industry. Prior to this, Paul was President Sony Music UK & Ireland and he also worked in Canada, Paris and Israel. Throughout his Sony career, Paul was instrumental to the enormous international success of artists such as Beyonce, Charlotte Church, Leonard Cohen, Des’ree, Celine Dion, Jamiroquai, Manic Street Preachers, George Michael, Toto, and The Fugees.
With sohoartists, however, Paul was looking for something a bit different, something a bit smaller, and a way to get back to working closely with a small group of artists that he really believes in. Paul’s buzz comes from helping artists break their music, either for the first time or well into their careers, but into new audience groups.
At sohoartists, Paul has signed some of the most innovative World and Folk artists of the day including Yasmin Levy, Sam Lee, and Ilham al-Madfai, whilst also keeping his hands firmly in the pop pie with Karen Bishko.
sohoartists also provides consulting services to a number of international music companies and artists. In addition to sitting on a number of charitable boards, Paul is the current Chair of Governors of the BRIT School for Performing Arts & Technology.
Erin has spent over 20 years working in the UK music industry. She has worked with artists as diverse as Take That, Oasis and Gipsy Kings. Erin and Paul worked together at Sony Music Europe, but it was when they bumped into each other at a party in 2006 that Paul persuaded Erin to come join him at sohoartists.
Erin is a UC Berkeley graduate and a native Californian. She started out in the UK industry in 1989, working for RCA Records as both a radio and tv plugger. In 1994 she moved to Sony Music, where she worked in multiple roles before settling down in the SINE division (Sony Independent Networks Europe). At SINE, Erin managed international marketing and promotions for UK labels such as Creation (Oasis, Primal Scream), Independiente (Travis, Paul Weller), Nude (Suede), Skint (Fatboy Slim) and Visible Noise (lostprophets). In 2005, Erin moved into a similar role at Universal Music, where she mainly focused on Jamie Cullum’s massively successful album, ‘Catching Tales’.
At sohoartists, Erin works alongside Paul, not only managing all the office affairs, but by being involved in the day-to-day management of all our artists and the development of their campaigns. With the benefit of her diverse experience and contacts, Erin ensures nothing is overlooked in each and every artist’s campaign.
